August Favorites: Beauty, Skincare, and Fashion.

September 2, 2017

Hello September!

This year has literally flown by. I just don’t know where the time has gone. It’s been difficult finding time to post between work, obtaining my Master’s, and finishing Game of Thrones…(Thanks Valerie). If anyone else really likes GOT, let me know so we can talk about it. I know many people aren’t interested in it and I used to be someone who said I would never watch it, but here I am almost to season 7. Seriously though, I just don’t want to post stuff that I don’t truly love talking about just to keep with a schedule. I like to bring you content that I enjoy because I think that shows and makes my readers enjoy it anymore. Last night I showed two products that I have been loving on my Instagram stories. So I decided why not do a August favorites since I haven’t done a favorites blog post in a while.

I have had quite a few favorites this month that I am absolutely loving. Something I have been obsessed with lately is skincare. I haven’t bought much makeup because I really just want to step up my skincare game. I will talk about all of my monthly favorites, not just skincare so don’t worry.

The first product I have been loving is the Sunday Riley UFO acne face oil. The oil is a dark green color and comes with a dropper. So I just dab this on any problem areas and tap it in with my fingers. I don’t rub it in just because I don’t want the oil all over my face. I like to specifically concentrate it on any breakouts. I do have an oily t-zone, so don’t worry if you are like “Oh I can’t put oil on my skin because my skin tends to be oily”.. seriously don’t worry. Just add it to any problem areas and let it sit over night and you’re golden. It doesn’t necessarily clear it up overnight, but it reduces any redness and keeps it from getting worse.

The next product is the Clinique moisture surge moisturizer. I love this moisturizer because it is so light and makes my skin look healthy and glowy. I like to apply this in the morning before primer and again at night after I have toned my face. A little goes a long way and it won’t leave you feeling greasy.

Moving on, the Belif Witch hazel toner is one of my most loved products right now. It isn’t like other toners I have and have used in the past. It doesn’t burn your skin and the consistency isn’t really thin. I like to take a cotton pad and tap it all over my skin after I have cleansed it to make sure no makeup is left behind and to remove any excess oil before I apply any skincare to my skin. You seriously need to try this if you are looking for a good toner.

This tool I have been using is amazing. I got this kit from Real Techniques that is called the under eye reviver. I LOVE THIS TOOL. It feels cool on your skin and I usually use this when I am adding my moisturizer. It just feels so good on the skin and honestly makes my skin feel tighter. I bought this towards the end of August, but this has been a favorite ever since. I actually bought it in the prep and prime kit.

Two of my clothing favorites are these BP long sleeve tees from Nordstrom. They are 19$ and so soft. I like them because they are light enough to wear on warmer days, but they can be layered easy as well. I ended up buying it in two of the four colors because I ended up loving it so much. Definitely wanting the other two colors as well just because it is such a great staple layering piece for your wardrobe.

Lastly, my favorite shoes have been these mule/loafer shoes. I now have three pairs, but these are my favorite. I love how easy they are to slide on and go and I like how it makes a outfit look a bit more dressy. Really love these and I need them in more colors.

Hope you all have a great Labor Day weekend. XOXO
