What’s on my Christmas Wish list?

I was trying to figure out what I would ask my friends and family for Christmas and I just started reminiscing about writing letters to Santa and how magical the whole holiday season was. All of the lights, the love, and laughter. I do miss being younger sometimes because it seems as you get older it is hard to feel that Christmas magic. Before my Nana passed away she was so good about keeping Christmas magical no matter what the age. This will be our first Christmas without her and she will be so missed. She had the most beautiful Christmas Tree and she also made opening gifts so fun and exciting. From solving riddles to scavenger hunts, she always kept us on her toes.. But it always meant so much to me through out the years because the magic does fade as you get older, especially if you do not have young children around. I remember from when I was very young and her and my papaw surprised me with a trip to Disney World. She bought a suitcase that had Minnie Mouse on the front, new clothes for the trip, and a note that although I do not remember in full was basically Minnie and Mickey inviting me to come visit their home. Years later I still remember this. Christmas is about being with your loved ones and not so much the gifts. But since it is so close to the Holidays I wanted to share those memories with you and I hope to be that way with my children and grandchildren because she always made Christmas and any special event so memorable.

I by no means think/expect to get everything on my Christmas wish list. It is just a guide for my family and friends and you all to get some gift ideas for you or a loved one!

1. First off, everyone loves a good quality pair of leggings. I stick to buying many pairs of black leggings from Forever 21 because they are under $5 for each pair. But they aren’t super high quality and they tend to only last for a few months. I love the brand Zella and have one of their pairs of leggings already. I really like these plain high waisted black leggings. They have great quality activewear. They look and feel like Lululemon except half the price at $54 dollars.2. This handbag on my list is definitely a more expensive gift, but I really love the wine color and that it is a cross body style. Not too bulky and good for carrying just a phone, some touch up makeup, my ID, and some money. It would look so good dressed up or even just for casual use. I absolutely love it!3. I love Kat Von D everlasting liquid lipsticks and I saw this on the Sephora lipstick and I was like omg I must have this. You get so many shades and it is such a great value at $49 dollars. If you have a makeup lover that you need a gift for, this would be perfect. I have two shades from this liquid lip line and love them both. They feel so good on the lips and literally last all day long.4. Starbucks gift card is always a go to gift for me. I love going to Starbucks to work on school work or just if I need something quick. I am a big fan of their Green tea and iced Caramel Macchiatos. A perfect for anyone who loves coffee and is always on the go!5. I love my Sony camera, but the lens that came with it just is not the best. After doing some research I came across this lens and think it will work a lot better for me personally. It is definitely a pricier gift on my list, but it is definitely a gift I would use a lot. I also think that in terms of tech.. if you know someone who loves taking pictures or has a blog as well, a nice camera would be a great gift! This lens is linked here.

6. I love my wallflowers. They last a long time and they keep our apartment smelling so good. I keep a few on hand and then just buy more when I run out. My favorite scents are mahogany teakwood and marshmallow fireside. They are also a great gift with the wallflower plug included because they are inexpensive and a great gift for anyone. This product is linked here.

7. I don’t buy new active shoes often, but I came across these and fell in love. I love this color and they are pretty affordable. And they are just easy to put on and head out. By the way my shoe size is a 8..haha.

8. Lastly, I love this B.P. cardigan in this oatmeal color. It is a neutral color and so cozy. I love B.P. from Nordstrom and own a few clothes by this brand. They are affordable and such great quality for the price point. Definitely check this brand out if you are looking to get someone a cozy cardigan for the colder months. It is under $50 and comes in about 5 colors!

These are my top items on my Christmas wish list and I hope I was able to give you some ideas/inspiration for your Christmas wish list or gift giving ideas. Hope you all have a great week. It is almost Thanksgiving :). XOXO.

Stocking Stuffer Ideas

I absolutely love stocking stuffers. I love little gifts that are thought out and something you may open first or last depending on your traditions. We have always looked in our stocking last and it was always so much fun. I wanted to give you all some cute stocking stuffer ideas for the whole family. Everything will be linked under each section as usual and if you have any other stocking stuffer ideas that you would like to add, just comment in the comment section at the bottom of the post!

For her:

Makeup: Any kind of makeup such as lippies, eye shadow palettes, mascara. (ULTA is having their Cyber Fundays today and tomorrow. Nov. 17-18th.) So definitely check that out.

Hair Accessories: I know I can always use an extra pack of hair ties and bobby pins. They are also inexpensive and an easy stocking stuffer.

Candy: Obviously her fav candy/snacks.

Gum: Who doesn’t love to have gum?

Mani/pedi certificate: Sometimes it is nice to pamper yourself so this would be easy to stick in the stocking and be something fun for her to do after a long work week.

Nail Polish: I love essie nail polish and I feel like it is the perfect stocking stuffer. They are always coming out with new collections too.

Makeup Brushes: Morphe brushes are high quality and affordable. And if she loves doing her own makeup, definitely pick her up some of these brushes.. or one of their eye shadow palettes. They are just so affordable and great quality.

Travel size perfume: I love having travel perfume sprays to keep in my purse just for a little refresher when I am on the go. And you can get a travel spray in any scent/brand on for about $18. No matter the scent/brand which is a great deal. And you get a good amount of perfume as well. Definitely a plus!

For Him:

Hair gel: Not many guys are super in to hair gel, but if he is.. you can stock him up on his fav.

A tie: Everyone needs a good quality tie.

Personalized money clip/wallet: I love personalized gifts and something that a man will use everyday that is personalized to him is perfect.

Gloves: Who doesn’t need gloves? I always lose mine.

Socks: Socks are just an extra touch. Get his favorite brand and you’re set.

Movie gift card: See a new movie coming out in the future he would like, get him a gift card to your local movie theatre. And it could also be used for a date if you both want to see a certain movie ๐Ÿ™‚

Harry’s grooming gift set: I love shave gift sets and I have heard great things about the Harry’s brand. Every man needs a new razor!

Leather Luggage tag: For the man who has to travel a lot, it is nice to have a high quality leather passport and luggage tag!

Most likely children get their big gifts under the tree so these are just little added stocking stuffers that are affordable.

For little the little lady:

Kids card games

Favorite candy

Flavored Chapstick

Hair Clips/Headbands

For the little man:

Small lego set

Favorite candy

Kids smart watch

Toothbrush with Fav characters

I hope you all enjoyed this little stocking stuffer guide. I will be having more gift guides to come. So stay tuned for that. XOXO

Holiday Favorites

Thanksgiving and Christmas are my two favorite holiday’s. I appreciate being around family even more now that we live hours away from our families. I also really enjoy the food.. haha. But seriously, there is nothing better than cuddling up in a warm sweater with a cozy blanket after a long day of eating way too much food. I wanted to share my classic holiday favorites with you all and I would love to see your Holiday Favorites.

One of my favorites is lighting a Christmas scented candle. I really love this Marshmallow fireside candle. I also use the same scent for my wallflowers in a few different places around our apartment. I just love this scent so much. Candles just make a room instantly feel cozy and inviting so this is a must.

Next, I love changing into a comfy sweater or a plush robe and cuddling up on the couch with a fuzzy blanket. And of course you have to get the hot chocolate in your favorite mug. Nothing like a good hot chocolate to get you in the holiday spirit.

I love watching Elf. It isn’t necessarily a “Classic” Christmas movie, but it really gets me in the holiday spirit and it truly never gets old. So I love to turn on this movie and get out my caramel popcorn on nights I want a sweet snack. Caramel popcorn is my favorite. I like regular popcorn, but caramel popcorn is the best in my opinion.

If my skin has been dry, struggling with breakouts, showing texture, dull, any of the above.. I put on one of the face masks below. The Sephora Collection face masks are my favorite because they are so inexpensive and they have so many different face masks for any skin problem you may be having. So I like to put one of these on while I watch my movie.

You can’t really go wrong no matter how you celebrate the Holiday’s, but I wanted to share with you some of my classic holiday favorites. I definitely could go on and on because it is my favorite time of year, but I will keep it short and sweet. Let me know in the comment section below this post some of you classic holiday must haves. Happy Wednesday! XOXO

Wedding update!

This will be my first blog post talking about Chad and I’s wedding, but now that things have settled down. I wanted to tell you some things I have found most useful during this wedding planning adventure. I have been planning this wedding mostly by myself with some tips from friends and input from Chad. But there are a few things that no one really told me about and I wanted to share them with you all in the off chance one of my readers is also planning a wedding. First of all, The knot, wedding wire, and any other wedding website planner are great and all, but they haven’t really been that much help to me.

(Photos are not mine)

Obviously, the first thing that I needed to lock down was a venue. I looked what I felt like to be everywhere around the location we wanted to get married in and I just couldn’t find anything. There were beautiful places don’t get me wrong, but they were all around 4-5,000 dollars and that did not include anything but tables and chairs. I don’t know about you, but I would rather spend that amount of money on something else. I spent a lot of time searching on The knot for venues and just was not finding anything. So I turned to google and came up short their too as well. I was beginning to get bummed because I felt like I was not going to find anything that we loved without spending a small fortune. So I went to Facebook and just started looking at pages of wedding venues in certain areas. After what felt like forever, which was only like 2 months, we found our venue. So definitely think out side of the box when trying to find a venue.

One of my top tips for any bride to be is thumbtack. If you are not familiar with Thumbtack, it is a website where you can hire someone to do literally anything. You put in a job you need done and businesses in that area send you quotes. You can then determine if any of those will work for you. I had heard really good things about it, but didn’t figure I would find anything useful.. until I ended up finding my DJ and my wedding cake designer. They both have been so easy to work with and I am so happy I found them. Definitely try them out if you are having a hard time finding wedding vendors!

(Photos are not mine)

Another issue I had was finding a photographer. I searched for hours upon days to find the perfect fit. It is definitely the most expensive part of my wedding, but definitely worth it. I looked all over the internet to find a photographer that fit exactly what I wanted. I got so tired of looking that I was on Instagram one day and started searching for photographers on there. I found them through Instagram and I am so happy I did. It is a husband and wife and they are seriously the sweetest and their work is out of this world. I am so excited!

I think these are a few tips I would have wanted to know starting out and I figured that it could be helpful to someone else planning a wedding. If you have any questions, I am definitely not an expert, but I’m just a natural planner and have everything already figured out. haha. But thanks for reading!!!! XOXO
